Low zinc and high copper levels of serum/Plasma have been associated with anxiety and other psychiatric disorders since the 1970s when Dr. Carl C. Pfeiffer, MD, PhD published his findings. The Research director of the Pfeiffer Treatment Center has published a recent study confirming that a Cu/Zn imbalance is associated with anxiety. Zinc treatment improves symptoms, the study suggests.
