
Trace Minerals International (TMI) was founded in 1984. The laboratory specialized in toxic and nutrient metal testing of biological and environmental samples. TMI pioneered the metal analysis of animals (blood and fur analysis).

Quality Control – TMI follows Standard Operating Procedures and adheres to a Quality Assurance Plan. Laboratory procedures follow CLIA, US EPA and WHO guidelines. TMI participates in audits and all data is kept for inspection for two years or more. TMI adheres to toxic metal limits in blood and urine as set by the Centers for Disease Control and other governing agencies. Instrument accuracy and precision is evaluated and maintained by qualified analysts.
Dr. Montante worked as TMI's medical director until 2000, and has joined us again. He has practiced holistic medicine for decades, and is particularly experienced in evaluating laboratory tests. He is an expert in nutritional medicine.
In 2012, Trace Minerals International LLC (TMI) reestablished its office in Boulder, Colorado.

Dr. E. Blaurock-Busch, Laboratory Director, founded TMI in 1984. She has written and published several books, including Toxic Metals and Antidotes. The Chelation Therapy Handbook. She is a regular contributor to well-known professional journals and publications around the world. Dr. Blaurock-Busch has lectured at numerous medical conventions, colleges and universities in countries such as Austria, China, India, Israel, Spain, Tunisia, Malaysia, and other countries. In 1996, she served as the Co-chairperson of the International Congress for Trace Element and Cancer, Beijing, China. She is scientific advisor to the International Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology (IBCMT) and the German Board of Clinical Metal Toxicology.
